Hotel White Mountain Lodge

Tucked away in the quiet village of Kalvträsk, White Mountain Lodge is a peaceful retreat for travellers looking to disconnect from everyday life and reconnect with nature. Surrounded by vast forests, lakes and unspoiled landscapes, the lodge offers a sense of tranquillity and remoteness that is increasingly rare.

The property consists of three traditional timber cabins together with a separate shared lodge, Storstugan. Storstugan provides a fully equipped kitchen, lounge and gathering area.

A major highlight is the immediate proximity to Vitbergen Nature Reserve, one of Västerbotten’s largest areas of protected old-growth forest. Covering almost 900 hectares, the reserve offers hiking trails, wildlife-rich surroundings and a remarkable sense of natural silence.

Guests can also enjoy fishing close to the lodge, as well as canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding and mountain biking, with equipment available for rent. Hiking and wildlife watching provide further opportunities to explore the surrounding landscape. After a day outdoors, guests can relax in the wood-fired sauna or outdoor spa and enjoy the changing Arctic seasons, from bright summer nights to the possibility of Northern Lights during winter.
