Haparanda Stadshotell

Once upon a time, Haparanda was where the East met West, a hangout for spies, robbers and war profiteers. The pompous Haparanda Stadshotell was the nonofficial exchange market, where sellers and buyers of smuggled goods met. Champagne and spirits fled like water, Russian caviar and lobster was everyday meals. If the walls could speak, we would be more than excited to listen to what went on in what once was the middle of the world.

Today the charming hotel from 1900 is a dream come true for its owner-manager Susanne Wallin, who started her career at the hotel at the age of 16 and dreamed about owning it someday. The careful renovation with taste and attention to details is going on. Several dining rooms with different sizes and characters offer tasty regional specialties. Our chef with his team works to bring you a beautiful harmony of tastes, quality as well as a feast for the eyes. The whole team of Haparanda Stadshotell will, from the moment you walk in till the moment you check out, do their very best in order to give you a fantastic holiday experience.
