The Wood Hotel in Skellefteå

Right in the heart of Skellefteå is Sara Kulturhus with The Wood Hotel by Elite. One of the world’s tallest wooden buildings made from over 12,000 cubic metres of locally sourced wood and capturing some 9 million kilograms of CO2 in its life cycle. A range of innovative energy systems further minimize the footprint, contributing to the hotel being climate positive.

In the 20-story wooden house, there are 205 modern hotel rooms of varying sizes. Everything from double rooms to family rooms and suites. Here the feeling of wood is constantly present.

On the ground floor is Elite’s own Italian concept café and restaurant, Paolo’s. On the fourth floor is Restaurang Mandel with an a ‘la carte based on local flavours and ingredients. Here is also the hotel breakfast. On the 19th floor, you will find the Asian concept restaurant, Miss Voon. There, the feeling is international and the view from the sky bar has made many references to big cities like New York or Berlin.

On the top floor is Vana Spa, offering an outdoor pool, sauna, and beneficial treatments for a relaxing moment in a first-class spa environment with a spectacular panoramic view of Skellefteå.
