Weekend for Two in the Countryside (Fri-Sun)

Weekend in Tornio countryside, village of Kourilehto. The weekend includes a briefing of the history and present of the village’s lifestyle. The host couple welcomes guests to their home and is at the service of the guests throughout their stay. There are a lot of interesting outdoor and indoor activities.

The log cabin was built in the early 80’s and renovated in 2021. The barn has a loft with a double bed.
Equipment: microwave oven, refrigerator, television, wifi, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, tableware, air source heat pump, electric auxiliary heater. No water supply, no toilet. Toilet and
shower room in the main building (approx. 25m).

Flexible and custom-built program:
Friday afternoon program begins with a welcome coffee in the old cowhouse’s restaurant/bar. After coffee, you can stay in the recreational area admiring the incredible view, after which you will learn about the history and culture of Tornio people, the old farm, as well as the outline of the weekend program.

Before the evening sauna there will be indoor or outdoor activities (gym, cycling, nordicwalking, snowshoeing, kicksledging etc). Guests are free to choose how they want to get around.

The sauna is heated on both evenings. Guests can relax in the sauna and enjoy the embrace of the outdoor hot tub under the sky and stars. A warm changing room in the cottage is available in the sauna area. Dinner is served and you can sit in the comfort of the restaurant admiring the incredible view.

The program for Saturday and Sunday include a guided tour of the countryside after breakfast. By the fireside guests are served with snacks. Guests are free to choose how they want to get around. The fire is carried out either outdoors, in the hut or the shed. Tours takes about 3 hours.
