Windsurfing Crash Course Summer
In Finland, windsurfing is often simply called surfing. A windsurfing board is propelled by a sail, making it a pure wind sport similar to sailing. Windsurfing boards and sails are designed for various purposes: beginner boards, freeride, slalom, formula, raceboard, and windSUP. The technology of the equipment varies based on its intended use.
Windsurfing might seem challenging, but the basics are surprisingly easy to learn. Surfcenter offers equipment rentals with a brief introduction. The easiest way to start windsurfing is to join our crash course. The equipment might seem large at first, but once you hit the water, the fun begins, and you’ll master it easily. We start on the sand and quickly move to the water to ensure you get the most out of the course.
Our windsurfing crash courses are open to everyone, with no strict age limit. A 7-year-old who is a good swimmer and tall enough to handle the equipment can join, as we have gear for younger or smaller surfers.
If windsurfing catches your interest, we recommend our 2-3 day basic course. This course will teach you the fundamentals so well that you can confidently continue practicing on your own or with rental gear!
