Island of Stora Fjäderägg Hostel

The hostel is located in the lighthouse keeper’s residence on the island of Stora Fjäderägg. Here you can experience the bright summer nights of the Bothnian Bay and explore the island. The island is a nature reserve. The journey from the island of Holmön to Stora Fjäderägg takes about 20 minutes, depending on the weather and wind. Book no later than the day before departure.

The hostel in the lighthouse keeper’s residence has 16 beds in beautifully furnished four-bed rooms. Extra beds can be arranged. There are two kitchens available for self-catering. The standard is simple with a dry bath, bathing in the sea, and water that is fetched from a tap outside.

From the harbor, it is a 900 m easy hike up to the hostel.

Bed linen is available for rent for those who do not bring their own. For our smallest guests, there is a cot and high chair. Strollers are fine to roll in the hallway up to the hostel. Dogs are welcome in one of the rooms – let us know when you book!
