A summer night's dream - Midnight Paddle
Paddle a canoe in the midnight light. The northern Scandinavian summer nights are unique. In this activity we take you out onto the quiet river in the white midnight light.
You’ll get to experience an extraordinary, beautiful and peaceful moment. A compact silence, broken only by the sound of birds and the stories told by your guide. Paddle along the edge of the forest. Birches lean in over the water. Other trees grow on rock. Aspens are dressed in moss, shining in a bright orange colour. The sun reflects playfully on the water, and subarctic birds sweep above. After a while we tie the canoes to a tree, make a fire and prepare some coffee the traditional northern way. We enjoy the view of the river and the forest. The fire is an invitation to share stories.
The entire activity is guided, and starts off with instructions on how to handle the canoe and use the paddle.
