Hotell Gamla Fängelset

This unique hotel is housed in a historic building that has been carefully renovated to maintain the original environment. A unique and affordable accommodation in Umeå’s old prison! Here you can spend the night in a cell, visit the museum and learn more about the prison’s history!

The hotel has 28 rooms and 45 beds in single and 2-bed cells, double and 4-bed rooms. There are fresh shared showers and toilets on both floors. A separate Annex,  located in the prison yard,  has two double bedrooms with a shower/toilet and a kitchenette.

The combination hotel and shared kitchen is appreciated by the guests. Access to the fully equipped kitchen during the day and evening. Socialize with new friends and feel at home!
