Nordanå open air museum area

In just a 10-minute walk from the center of Skellefteå, along the Skellefteå river, is the Nordanå open air museum. A green oasis and scenic cultural and outdoor area with several historical buildings that’s history dates to the 14th century.

Once at Nordanå, a visit at Nordanå museum and the exhibition Storsia is strongly recommended. A journey threw local history, beginning at the ice age some 10,500 years ago, and ending in the present. And for the younger, curious in technology and interactive experiments, a visit at Exploratoriet –  Skellefteå Science center, is mandatory.

And just besides the Nordanå area, on the riverbank, is the historical Bonnstan church town
