From skiing and ice skating to snowscooter tours

Sävar Kanot is active winter time by Bothnian sea in Skeppsvik by the lake of Tavelsjö. They offer an extensive rental business and guided activities.

Available Option:

• Ice fishing including fishing equipment, fishing permit, and on-site guidance: 500 SEK/person per day.
• Ski rental for skiing along the Skeppsvik trail up to the lower Sävarån nature reserve, rich in wildlife, magnificent scenery, and a tranquil environment. The trail is 7 km round-trip, with two resting points featuring benches, fire pits, and wind shelters. Classic and skate tracks are available. 500 SEK/person per day. (Firewood is available for purchase at the trailhead in a convenient size to bring along on skis.)
• Guided snowmobile tour in the nature reserve. Maximum group size: 4 people. Package includes: helmet, briefing at the Skeppsvik starting point, snowmobile, outdoor meal cooked over a fire, and coffee brewed over the flames. The tour can be guided in Swedish and English. It includes two stops for meals and information about the nature reserve, wildlife, and the “right of public access” (Allemansrätten). Duration: approximately 2-3 hours.
• Snowshoes available for rent for hiking.
• Long-distance skates for rent for skating on the ice track in Tavelsjö, with or without on-site guidance. A group of at least 10 people is required for an on-site guide. For groups smaller than 10, equipment can be picked up in Skeppsvik.
