The northern road trip for groups

Day 1: Arrival in Luleå

Arrival at Luleå (LLA) airport. 

Several flight connections from Europe via Stockholm/Arlanda available.

Bustransfer to Clarion Hotel Sense for check-in.

A short walk passing Luleå harbour takes you to Restaurant CG for dinner.

Accommodation at Clarion Hotel Sense in Luleå city center.

Day 2 Luleå

Breakfast at the hotel.

This northern tour starts with a visit at a moose and reindeer farm. Here you get to know these wild animals in close-up and also enjoy a tasty lunch.

In the afternoon you have time at your leisure. Tonights program will take place after dinner, so maybe you want to rest a bit.

In case you feel for a walk we recommend to take a tour on the natur ice track around Luleå city.

Dinner at the hotel.

Northern lights tour on snowshoes takes you out of the city in hope of seeing the magical lights.

Accommodation at Clarion Hotel Sense.

Day 3: Kalix & Haparanda

Breakfast at the hotel and check-out.

Busdrive to Kalix, about 1hr 30min, where you get to embark on the mighty icebreaker Polar Explorer.

Brunch / early lunch at Nordic Lapland Resort Frevisören.

13:00-16:00 Icebreaker cruise, during which you can float in rescue suits the icy water.

Busdrive of 30min to Haparanda and check-in to Haparanda Stadshotell.

Dinner and accommodation at Haparanda Stadshotell.

Day 4: Kemi & Oulu

Breakfast and check-out.

As you cross the border to Finland, you change time zones. Sweden is in CET while Finland is in EET.

After half-an-hour’s drive takes you to Kemi.

12:00-13:00 Lunch in IceRestaurant

13:30-15:30 Snowmobile safari with ice-fishing.

Before leaving Kemi you have a guided tour in the SnowExperience exhibition with amazing ice-sculptures and snow buildings.

Busdrive 1hr 30min to Oulu.

Dinner and accommodation at Lapland Hotel Oulu.

Day 5: Oulu

Breakfast at the restaurant.

You have some time at your leisure before the days tours. Have a look at Oulu Market Square and Market Hall, for some tasty souvenirs to bring home or enjoy right away. Lunch is not included in the program today, you find several restaurants in the city centre.

14:00-16:00 Fat bike tour in Oulu and surroundings. The tour is partly on the frozen sea.

17:00-20:00 Finnish sauna experience where you get to try the dip in an ice-hole.

Dinner and accommodation at Lapland Hotel Oulu.

Day 6: Departure from Oulu

Breakfast at the hotel.

A local guide takes you on a short walk to the picturesque Pikisaari before lunch at the hotel.

Transfer to the airport.

Departure from Oulu airport (OUL).
